"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Our Founder's Legacy

Late Sh. R.D. Sharma, a distinguished retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons, Himachal Pradesh, was the founding visionary behind BRD Public School. With a lifetime of service, discipline, and dedication to the nation, Sh. R.D. Sharma believed that quality education was the cornerstone of a prosperous and just society.

Driven by an unwavering belief in the transformative power of education, he established BRD Public School at Kalu Jhanda, Baddi — a region that was rapidly growing but lacked access to quality schooling. His dream was simple yet profound: to create an institution where every child, irrespective of background, could receive world-class education close to home.

Under his guidance, the school was built on the twin pillars of academic rigour and moral character. He ensured that the institution maintained its affiliation with CBSE, New Delhi, bringing a nationally recognized standard of education to the doorsteps of Baddi's families.

Though Sh. R.D. Sharma is no longer with us, his vision, values, and spirit continue to guide every student, teacher, and staff member at BRD Public School. His legacy lives on in the thousands of students who have passed through these halls and gone on to lead meaningful lives.

"His dream was a school where discipline meets compassion, and knowledge meets wisdom — a beacon of hope for every child in Baddi."
